We will meet on the western Peninsula (at the end of Nichols Blvd). The park's lights will be off in that area. This event is also good for members of the public to bring a telescope to, and we will teach you how to use it properly!

Coming to a public star party?
They run at the Sparks Marina, beginning at sunset and lasting about two hours, weather permitting.
We meet on the western peninsula, at the end of Nichols Blvd, where the park's lights are switched off. That is not the same as the park's postal address at 300 Howard Dr — if you follow that into your phone you will arrive at the wrong end of a large park in the dark.
There are always more telescopes than people who own them, and somebody will be glad to show you what is in the eyepiece. If you have a telescope of your own and have never quite got on with it, bring it — teaching people to use their own equipment is one of the things we are for.
