Welcome to the official website of the Astronomical Society of Nevada (ASN)! We have recently upgraded this site to allow us to provide more up-to-date information to our members and the public at large.  We will be updating the format and content of the site over the next several months, so be sure to come back to get the latest and greatest!

The menu to the left provides access to many helpful resources.  Want to learn more about the ASN?  Check out the ‘About US’ and ‘History’ pages, browse through the image gallery or read some of our old newsletters.  Interested in observing the night sky in the northern Nevada area?  In addition to standard weather reports, you will find our local Clear Sky Clocks (CSCs) which can be extremely useful for predicting observing conditions.  Want to know where we meet and some our favorite viewing locations?  The Locations page provides an interactive Google Earth map with information on many of these sites.  Finally, check out the Forums, where you can ask questions related to amateur astronomy or share some of your own astronomy experiences.

Over the next several months we will be adding content available only to ASN members.  By logging in with your user name and password, additional items will be available on the menu.  Features that we plan on adding include access to the most recent newsletter and the ability to reserve our rental telescopes!  Members of the ASN also receive email notice of upcoming events and activities.
